The Primary Instructor for this course must meet the following requirements:Must have a minimum of one industry credential/designation/approval related to Phlebotomy, Nursing, or be a credentialed/certified Medical Assistant.AT LEAST three (3) years of Training/Support Experience or combined practical experience.Must have Associates Degree or higher in related/relevant field of study
The phlebotomy technician training course prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians and other health care professionals, to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of intrusive procedures. Stidentd will learn basic vascular anatomy and physiology, blood physiology, skin puncture techniques, venipuncture, venous specimen collection and handling, safety and sanitation procedures, and applicable standards and regulations.
Must register 2 weeks prior to course start date.
