US Military Food Service Specialist Training, 25 years of professional cooking experience, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, Bachelor of Science in Education, Masters in Business Administration, ServSafe Food Protection Manager, ServSafe Alcohol Certificate, ServSafe Food Handler, START.
Participants will receive instruction in Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The Culinary Arts component of the class includes instruction in the safe handling of food. Students will be eligible to receive the ServSafe Food Handler certificate, ServSafe Alcohol Certificate, and the ServSafe Food Protection Manager credential. This portion of the class also includes an internship with Keystone Catering, Edna Martin Christian Center's on-site catering business, and hands-on instruction from the Keystone Catering Chef. The Hospitality portion of the training consists of classroom instruction covering topics related to the Hospitality industry. Students who successfully pass the final exam will receive the START certificate of completion and, due to the training provided in these areas, will be eligible to receive hospitality skills certification in one of the following: Certified Front Desk Representative, Certified Guestroom Attendant, Certified Restaurant Server, Certified Maintenance Employee, or Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP).
