Our program faculty are registered nurses in the state of Indiana. They have a minimum of two years of licensed nurse's experience, of which at least one year was in the provision of long term care services. They must have completed a course in teaching adults and be approved by ISDH (if a program director or delegated instructor). Guest speakers may include other qualified personnel (qualified through education or certification and with at least one year of experience in their chosen field, and cannot exceed their scope of practice.)
Our instruction model consists of 40 hours of classroom instruction/coursework and 80 hours of clinical/lab experience. This is a 3 week (15-days) program. The only application requirements are that prospective students must be able to add and subtract simple equations, and read and write English.
