RN with long term care experience, certified by to teach QMA students, approved by ISDH (Indiana State Dept of Health) to teach the QMA program.
QMA program is for current active IN CNAs that wish to expand their career. This class meets twice weekly for 4weeks. MUCH studying involved. Hours for class are 9am-5pm on Tuesday and Saturday. Studnets will study anatomy how the body should work, what happens when something goes wrong, what medications/therapies to treat. MANY, MANY medications will need to be memorized. Must get 80% on final exam in class to go onto the 46hour of clinicals at your job. After clinicals, students papers will be sent to Ivy Tech for IN QMA state exam. ALL FEES included.
CNA with 1000 hrs work experience, Long Term Care or Assisted Living experience, HS Diploma or GED, 18 yrs old, no findings on CNA license, No felony past 5 years.
Classes 4 x year, apply one week before new class starts.No refund after class begins. If student misses a class, must restart program with next set of classes (no additional charges for one restart).
