RN, and certificate to teach Nurse Aide students as required by the Indiana State Dept of Health. We have been trained through IN School of Nursing at IUPUI for Certified Nurse Aide Training Instructors.
A program that prepares individuals to administer prescribed medications; observe and report patient reactions and side effects; and perform related emergency and recording duties under the supervision of nurses and/or physicians. Includes instruction in basic anatomy and physiology, common medications and their effects, taking vital signs, oxygen administration, medication administration and application, record-keeping, and patient observation. Classes are in person for first and last class, then ONLINE one day a week for 8 weeks- students may finish early . Student must pass final with 75% in order to continue onto the clinical portion of the program which is 45 hours working directly with a nurse at students' jobs.
Must be CNA with a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus1000 hours long term care experience or assisted living experience. Class prepares student for medication administration to long term care residents or assisted living facilities under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Students may complete an online application on our website home page- click on ONLINE ENROLLMENT, and SUBMIT to our office. We will email acceptance to qualified applicants (and their Work One sponsor if applicable).This will save a seat in the class of students' choice.STUDENT MUST COME TO REGISTRATION WITH ALL NEEDED PAPERWORK.Books, access to online program, handouts will be given at registration. Student may complete class no later than 8 weeks after registration. Class can be completed at studens' own pace. When all assignments and lectures are completed, student may sign up for the procedure class. After procedure class is 45 hours of clinicals at students' job.After registration is completed, class will begin on that day as noted on our website usmeded.com. A STATE OF INDIANA criminal history checkmust also be provided. Students cannot have a felony within the last 5 years.
