Math Instructor is a Licensed Teacher by the State of Indiana.Hands on training is performed by an instructor that holds a NIMS Certification in the course they are training.

Program Description:

program is CNC Mill Operations, Machining Level 1. This course will introduce students to CNC milling operations, program formats, and machine setups. This course is 6 hours weekly of hands-on training in the CNC shop, 10 hours weekly of classroom, including adult education in math and reading and ESS online with WIN totaling approx. 130 hours.Classroom hours will consist of online learning, and direct instruction. NIMS Textbook and workbook will be supplemented to pass the NIMS Exam. Students will leave propared to enter the workforce int he CNC Mill Operations field.

Includes instruction in CNC terminology, setup, programming, operations, and troubleshooting; blueprint reading; machining; lathe and mill operations; technical mathematics; computer literacy; CAD/CAM systems; shop and safety practices; equipment capabilities; and regulations and laws.

Prerequisites Description:

Students must have strong Reading and Math skills and score a minimum of 536 in Reading and minimum of 537 in Math on the TABE Assessment. Students will take a post test half way throughout the program with a goal of reaching a 550 or above on each subject. Students must pass sex offender background checks.
