A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Individuals will receive training and be tested in the following subject areas: Flux-cored Metal Arc Welding, Welding Symbols, and Blueprint Reading. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. All certifications will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) which will be held on a Saturday. Must have a minimum of 5students and a maximum of 16to hold the class. This course will teach you the basics of Gas Metal Arc Welding, proper safety, blueprint reading, and equipment operations. This course will teach you the basics of Flux Cored Arc Welding, proper safety, and equipment operations.This course is taught in both the classroom environment as well as hands on in our welding shop. The majority of this course will be, hands on, in the shop since you are coming out of our basic program, well prepared. Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a completion certificate and the program also includes AWS certification testing

Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. . All certifications will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) which will be held on a Saturday. Must have a minimum of 5students and a maximum of 16to hold the class. OSHA 10 General Industry Voluntary Compliance Program 29 CFR 1910 Applicability: All personnel that have to be aware of various dangers in theirworkplace.Prerequisites: NoneFrequency and Duration: This training program requires 10 hours of instructor time to complete over 2 days. The first day is 8 hours; the second day is 4 hours. There is no Refresher course mandated by OSHA. Purpose and Overview:Safety Training Services, Inc. presents this comprehensive training program intended to provide instruction on a variety of mandatory and optional topics in General Industry Safety and Health to entry level participants.
